Born from
the mountains
Baramasa — meaning belonging to every season — is not a hotel chain. It’s a small family of stays, run by people who actually live here, built for travellers who’d rather feel a place than simply visit it.
The Name
What does
Baramasa mean?
The
heart of Uttarakhand
In classical Hindi and Sanskrit, Baramasa (बारामासा) describes something that belongs to all twelve months — every season, every cycle. It’s a word used in poetry to evoke permanence, the kind of beauty that doesn’t fade when the monsoon comes or when the peaks are lost in winter cloud.
We chose it deliberately. Our stays are not seasonal escapes. They are places to return to — in spring when the rhododendrons bloom, in monsoon when the valleys fill with mist, in winter when the silence deepens. A sanctuary for all seasons.
“Not just a stay. A return — to stillness, to nature, to who you were before the noise.”
— Baramasa Hospitality
What We Believe
Rooted in place,
guided by purpose
Rooted in Uttarakhand
Every stay is shaped by its landscape — not imposed upon it. We build where we live, with materials and methods that honour the mountains.
Small & Personal
Every stay is shaped by its landscape — not imposed upon it. We build where we live, with materials and methods that honour the mountains.
Stillness as Luxury
Silence, uninterrupted views, and unhurried time are not amenities — they are the entire point. We design spaces where the world slows down.
